Dr. Audrey Sanders

With over 30 years in public education, Dr. Sanders is passionate about creating opportunity through school choice. A native of La Porte, Texas, she grew up in an under-resourced neighborhood that shaped her commitment to equity in education. Her career spans roles as a teacher, principal, federal funding administrator, and national education advisor. She has closed achievement gaps, raised STAAR test scores to 100% proficiency, and served on national and state education boards. Dr. Sanders holds credentials from Houston Baptist University, The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and Texas Southern University, including a Doctorate in Education.
