At-Home Learning Overview

a

While the district is closed in an effort to protect our community from the spread of COVID-19, we expect our students to continue learning at home with the remote support of our teacher and support personnel.

Students will receive direct communication and instruction from their teachers through one of our two virtual learning platforms. K-2nd grade students will be virtually learning through Seesaw and 3rd-6th grade students will connect through Google Classroom. Parents can find support videos and documents on both platforms in the Parent Resources page of this site.

We will continue our workbooks/school packets option for students who do not have access to the internet.  Teachers will provide a pacing guide to families that outlines pages and dates for completion of assigned activities. Parents will take a picture of the students completed assignments and send to the teacher’s email account by the due date.

Teachers are communicating directly with families and students with specific information regarding their classes and required lessons for students. Parents should expect a weekly call from their homeroom teacher. Resources on this site will be updated frequently for families to access additional activities to support the lessons assigned by their teachers. It is important for parents and caregivers to monitor this work so that learning is on-going as we wait to re-open schools.

Support is readily available to parents and students via teachers’ email, Zoom and apps such as, Class Dojo, Remind, etc.  Your classroom teacher will notify you with the preferred method of communication to best meet the needs of families.
